Hmm.... looks like keeping in sync with Perforce is becoming problematic.Have
no idea what to do with it.

Looks so. "perforce_2_4_merge_1" points to the trunk and there's no tags on
the branch AFAIKT. I believe that I've placed a tag at the version that we
had immediately after my change to 'while' behaviour and prior to merge with
trunk. The tag is called "state-perforce_2_4_merge-1".
One good thing about CVS is that one can remove/rename tags at any time :-)
