Finally got it sorted.
I recompiled gcc to use Dwarf exceptions instead of SJLJ (added
'--disable-sjlj-exceptions --enable-dwarf2' to the configure line) and
it works perfectly now.
Sorry for the spam, maybe someone in the future with the same problem
will find it useful..
