[Boost-users] scoped_ptr

How can I instantiate a static pointer of a class using boost::scoped_pointer  ?
  like for example: 
  
static classA *A;
int main
{
...
...
  A = new ClassA (PArameter list);
  }
  How do I do ths with boost::scoped_pointer.
