Reading some BB jam files I see constructs such as $(var:E=) that
suggest some way to process the content of 'var' before returning it.
I'm struggling to find documentation for this feature in the BB docs.
Can someone please help ?
Specifically, I have a variable that captures the output of an external
tool I have executed. How can I strip off the trailing newline from that
when I assign that to another variable ?
