I don't know if anyone else got back to you already, but what I found
to work was setting the environment variables for PYTHON_VERSION and
PYTHON_ROOT:

and also entering them in user-config.jam:
<http://www.boost.org/doc/html/bbv2/
advanced.html#bbv2.advanced.configuration>
