Yea, I corrected myself a bit later :-) ..and to reply to your next
question, both VC71 and VC8 set up VS*COMMTOOLS.

Same difference in this case. cw-config.jam uses the registry. And
CodeWarrior doesn't set up any env when you tell it not to so there's no
other way than the registry to know if it's installed.
