Hi,
One of Boost.GIL users reported very long compilation times
with GCC 7 and 8 https://github.com/boostorg/gil/issues/131
then, reproduced the problem with a minimal example
without Boost GIL and MPL dependencies.
The issue has been reported to GCC developers - I think
users/developers of other Boost libraries may be interested too
