Relatively easy. The problem is that such a library, since it doesn't have a
clear focus and no real "owner", tends to end up a catch-all for all kinds
of nominally useful stuff of various colors and consequently tends to
acquire dependencies. We need to be ruthless in enforcing the "no
dependencies" rule.
