I don't do this and I wont do this.
It seems to me that this has huge potential to break
libararies on newer platforms. I've been assured that is
won't happen hence it's not a problem. I'm skeptical
about this.
But I can tell you one thing for sure, I'm not going back
to spend time to fix any breakage due to changes such
as this.
