We also pay attention at that. In our case, any compialtiontime > 10s
for some
trivial to simpel code make our users frown. We spent a lot of time
redesigning our
lib so those times fall down. Then we sued Steven Watanabe profiler to
get even better.
I don't think "nobody cares about compile-time" is right.
