Your solution looks like the best one. It's close to the second patch
I've send in a separate e-mail.
Thank you for instructions I'll try to run the tests.
Will boost-1.40.0 release contain the fix?
Currently I am going to add the patch to FreeBSD ports collection. I
guess other operating systems are still affected in case they are
using the same compiler and assembler.
