Actually I like the idea that people should get paid for their efforts,
while at the same time I do very much appreciate the efforts of those who
don't get paid such as the Boost developers in putting out free software.
My suggestion for a subscription to the C++ Zine was to help those who were
willing to put out the effort of writing articles, and developing software
based on them, to get paid.
