I do appreciate this kind of report on the list. I think the reason that
little has changed is that most of the libraries with problems have
maintainers that are only somewhat inactive, and perhaps don't follow the
list very closely. I don't know if we should contact them directly, or just
hope that someone else will come by to fix it.
