Sure that fixes your problem, but won't you stop other peoples code from
working if they were expecting gcc2.95 compiled versions?
Anyway, as has been often repeated before - we are not against providing an
autotools config/make/install script - we are looking for someone to do the
work, especially if it would have involved less time than current
discussion has taken ;-)
